This sugary liquid is also a favorite of ants and other small insects. One of the GCAH parents led a field trip out into the woods to talk about collection methods and to let the students taste the raw liquid. It takes more than 40 gallons of sap to produce just one gallon of maple syrup - but this delicious, burnt-umber liquid is worth every penny!
